In May we organized an online session for former participants to our Masterclass. To catch up, to inspire, to share knowledge and experience. We used this session to present the Model for implementation and normalization of care pathways.
Model for implementation and normalization of care pathways
This model was developed as a result of the process evalaution of the implementation of care pathways for colorectal cancer surgery, by Van Zelm et al. (2019). The model is based on the (extended) Normalization Process Theory, and describes enabling factors for pathway implementation and normalization in context (potential, capacity) the care pathway (capability) and the activities of people (contribution).
The model was published as poster (see below) at the ICIC2021 virtual conference, where we also hosted a workshop on implementation of care pathways.
