From September 21 – 23, E-P-A organised the International Master Class on Care Pathways and the Organisation of Care Pathways. And it was a truly international event, with 25 participants from 10 different countries!
Our colleagues from the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital are requesting E-P-A members’ help and experience:
As part of a National Health Service initiative being run here at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom, we are embarking upon an exciting project to update and integrate our existing care pathways into the hospital’s IT system.
Whilst the availability of published literature on best practice in pathway development continues to grow we are also keen to hear about the experiences of fellow members.
We would be grateful and willing to hear from any colleagues who have published or developed locally implemented recommendations that they are happy to share. Our team are especially keen to hear about new ideas for:
- Investigating new methodologies for designing clinical pathways
- Using care pathways to promote patient centred care within the hospital
- Enhancing the role of information technology in the use of clinical pathways
We will look forward to hearing from any members who may be able to help and will look forward to sharing our experiences in the future.
